I'm back again for day 9 of my 12 Days of Christmas in July 2012 series. I have another great card to share with you. I'm going to be linking this card up to the Christmas in July challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2 Blog.
For today's card I made a Folded Angle card that I saw on Everday Cricut where they have a tutorial on how to cut and fold. I used Core'dinations Cardstock from their Gemstones Collection that I got at Joann's. The base for the card is the color Jasper and I chose to have the shiny side up. This card ends up being a 4x4" card when folded. My green layer is cut at 3.5x3.5" and the cream layer is 3.25x3.25". The green is the backside of the Jade Core'dinations cardstock. The wreath is cut from Celebrate with Flourish Lite cartridge. I didn't cut the layer with the flourishes because I just wanted a simple wreath. So the base of the wreath is the Jade Core'dinations cardstock and the bow and holly berries are cut from Ruby Red. The wreath is cut at 3". This was a fun card to make and I love the folded angles.
In this picture you can see that only half of the green layer is attached to the top folded angle.
I used a Studio G "Happy Holidays" stamp with dark red ink. I also cut the green and cream colored layers for the inside the same size as the outside.
Here's another view of the card with just the top folded angle down.
Here's a view from the top of the card.
Instructions:
Base: 4x4" folded (4x12" when flat)
Green Layer: 3.5x3.5" (done twice)
Cream Layer 3.25x3.25" (done twice)
Wreath: 3"
Hope you enjoyed my card for today. Come back tomorrow for day 10.
Have a Magical Day!!
