Animal Print Monogram Cards

Hello,
These cards are for Bitten by the Bug 2's Any Cartridge Mongram Challenge.  For this challenge you are allowed to use any cartridge to make a monogram card.  I decided to use some fun animal print paper that I got from Michael's.  I also used black satin ribbon and jewels from my stash.  Enjoy the pictures :)

 To make my monogram I used Font 3 on the Cricut American Alphabet cartridge.  I loved the little flourishes that were added to these letters.  I really enjoy the colors since they are so bright and fun.  The solid color paper is the back of the animal print paper so there was no need to worry about finding colors that matched.

 On these individual pictures you can see the embossing I did with my Cuttlebug.  I used 2 folders from the Animal Prints Set.  I used the Cheetah and Zebra print folders.

 The zebra texture wasn't as pronounced as I would have liked but I still love the way it turned out.

For My Sister

Hello,
After making a few things on my Cricut my sister asked if I could make some tags for her lunchbox for work along with decorating a box that she keeps at her desk.  I used several of my growing cartridge library.

This is the sign I made for my sister.  She loves skulls and the color purple so she loved this.  For this project I used the Cricut American Alphabet for the letters and the Cricut Lite Slumber Party cartridge for the skulls.  I added some bling on the bows and some cute ribbon to tie the 3 pieces together.

 This is the first lunchbox tag I made for my sister.  I used the Cricut American Alphabet cartridge to make the entire tag and attached a pin on the back so it could be pinned to the lunchbox.

 The next project I made for her was her box that is at her desk at work.  She has a black and white cat so making the Figaro from the Disney Classics cartridge.  Her name is from the Jasmine cartridge.

My sister asked me to make a smaller lunchbox tag for her and laminate them so she'd be able to put them in the fridge with her lunch.  I'm not sure which cartridges I got the butterflies and coffee cups from but the words were the Jasmine cartridge again.

My New Crafting Blog

Hi,
I have decided to start a blog about my crafting adventures and any other adventures that come along.  I was lucky enough to receive a Cricut Expression 2: Aniversary Edition as a Christmas/Graduation gift.  I have wanted a Cricut machine for several years so this was a real treat.  I've been making all kinds of cards and things with my Cricut so I figured this would be a good way to document the things I've made.  For this first blog I wanted to share pictures from opening my Cricut Expression 2.  Sorry some of the pictures are blurry because my mom was in charge of taking them...LOL :)

 My first Cricut project.  I just wanted to cut something/anything.  I had been waiting a long time for a Cricut machine.

I decided on making a cat from the Cricut American Alphabet cartridge on page 34.  I decided to make it the same colors that were in the example on the page.

The finished product...isn't it so cute!!
