Father's Day

Hello,
Since Father's Day is in a week I thought I would share the cards I made for my Dad and Grandpas.
Here's a picture of all the Father's day cards I made.  I used the three images for Father's Day on the Cricut  Lite cartridge Celebrate With Flourish. I used the same colors for all, Kraft, light tan, chocolate, navy blue, and lighter blue.  I also stamped "happy FATHER'S day" on each card.
This card is for my Dad.  The image is cut at 4.75".  I liked the simplicity of each card and it is definitely appropriate for men.  This card has the sentiment stamped on the inside.
I made 2 of these cards (one for one of my grandpas and my step-grandpa).  The golf bag image is cut at 4".  I embossed the stamped image to make it stand out more.
The last card I made for my other grandpa.  The fishing image is cut at 4".
Thanks for looking.
Have a Magical Day :)

Go Wild...

Hello,
My little sister's birthday is today and I wanted to show you the card I made for her.  She's not as in love with the animal print as I am but I came up with this idea and just couldn't pass it up.  Plus I made it using her favorite color purple so I'm sure she'll love it.
I cut the zebra from Create a Critter at 3".  The "Go Wild" phrase is also from Create a Critter and was cut at 1.5"  The card I made is a standard A2 size card.  I used a black base and the animal print paper is from Michael's.  The pack that you can buy comes with pink zebra print, blue zebra print, traditional white and black zebra print, green leopard print and purple leopard print.  The nice thing about this paper is that it is a solid color on the back and it matches.  No need to find a matching purple.
The first layer of the card is cut at 4 x 5.25".  The next layer was cut at 3.75 x 5" and I used my Cuttlebug to emboss it with the leopard print folder from the Animal Print embossing folders pack.  The black paper is cut at 1.75 x 3.75".  I used the black to help my "Go Wild" phrase stand out better.  It turned out to be a very cute card.
On the inside I used the back of the animal print paper as a mat for my writing.  I also added a detail of the animal print paper at the bottom (1.75 x 3.75").  I stamped "It's Your Birthday!" using some individual letter stamps.
I was all about the animal print with this card.  I even made an animal print liner for the envelope.
I hope you enjoyed this card.
Have a Magical Day :)

Hello There

Hello There,
I recently received the Create a Critter cartridge so I had to make some super cute cards to send to my friends.  The cuts on this cartridge are just too cute.  I've seen lots of projects using this cartridge so I was very excited to get to use it.  I am definitely in love with this cartridge.
Anyway let's get to the first 2 cards I created with this cartridge.
The first card I made for my dear friend uses the owl cut (not sure what size because I lost my paper that had it written down).  I used a light and dark teal polka dot paper from Michael's to make the owl.  I added glossy accents to the beak and claws.  I also added some brown glitter glue to the wings and eyelashes.  The card is a standard A2 size with a layer of Kraft cardstock layer.  I stamped "Hello There" on the inside.
The second card I made for another dear friend with the giraffe cut (again not sure of the size).  The yellow paper for the giraffe is the same line of polka dot paper from Michael's.  This card is also an A2 size card.  The grass paper is from my stash that I've had for years.  It looks like crinkled paper then I cut it to look like grass.  I used D'Vine Swirls Cuttlebug folder on the blue background and the Polka Dots Cuttlebug folder on the clouds.  The clouds are also cuts from Create a Critter cartridge.  I cut the Hello tag and stamped it.

Hope you enjoyed the cards.
Have a Magical Day :)
