<br />
My two best friends' birthdays are this week so I decided to show you 6 simple birthday cards I made. For each of the cards I used the <a href="http://main.cricut.com/shopping/detail--Cricut-Sweet-Treats-Cartridge-0-645.aspx" target="_blank">Sweet Treats</a> cartridge. Each card is a standard A2 card (4.25x5.5"). I bought this pack of cardstock from Michael's that has a cupcake pattern. I have since bought the ribbon and two photo boxes that match the paper. I just love the way the cupcakes look. The paper pack came with other patterned paper that matches the patterns on the cupcakes. So I used two different cupcakes from Sweet Treats to make cupcakes for the cards like those on the paper.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-uoWaYYZBh2Y/UBlvNGW1JoI/AAAAAAAADJc/ZnwlaUX8yYQ/s1600/P8010007.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-uoWaYYZBh2Y/UBlvNGW1JoI/AAAAAAAADJc/ZnwlaUX8yYQ/s320/P8010007.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
These are the first 2 cards. The cupcake is from page 24. It is my rendition of the cupcake on the paper that you can see the bottom and the top of on the card on the right. The top is above the cupcake cut and the bottom is below the cupcake cut. I cut a white shadow to help the cupcakes stand out. I also doodled a little bit around them. I didn't cut out all the layers just the base, cupcake liner and the swirl. The cupcake is cut at 3.5" I used my <a href="http://www.weronthenet.com/corner-chomper" target="_blank">Corner Chomper</a> (1/4" & 1/2" radius) to round the corners of the base and layers. I used 1/4" radius on one card and the 1/2" radius on the other. I did this for each pair of cards. The measurements of all the layers will be at the end of this post.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hX_7J9J3Tlg/UBlvUaR3LFI/AAAAAAAADJk/TN74eQLChLA/s1600/P8010008.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hX_7J9J3Tlg/UBlvUaR3LFI/AAAAAAAADJk/TN74eQLChLA/s320/P8010008.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The second pair of cards uses the cupcake cut from page 27. I cut these at 3.5" as well. You can kind of see the cupcake I modeled it after to the left of the cupcake on the card to the right. It has the pink paisley pattern for the liner and brown with white polka dots for the top of the cupcake. I also cut a white shadow for these cupcakes and doodled around the edges to help them stand out.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-513JVMv79rA/UBlvb0K927I/AAAAAAAADJs/_J-P1oMLCAE/s1600/P8010009.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-513JVMv79rA/UBlvb0K927I/AAAAAAAADJs/_J-P1oMLCAE/s320/P8010009.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div align="center">
<br /></div>
<div align="center">
For my third set of cards I used the present cut from page 46. They were cut at 4.5" with a black shadow. I used to different patterned papers (black with white polka dots and the blue with black bows) to make these cards. I doodled around and on the presents with white and black gel pens to add some dimension.</div>
<div align="center">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I simply stamped "Happy Birthday" inside each of the cards. These cards were very simple and would be easy to mass produce plus everybody needs extra birthday cards. Even though I'm only handing out 2 of them this week I wanted to have extras on hand in case.</div>

<br />
Today's post is the first of my <a href="http://jessica-fortheloveofcrafting.blogspot.com/search/label/Days%20of%20Summer" target="_blank">Days of Summer</a> 2012 series. I made this banner in June but just never took any pictures of it to post online. Throughout the month of August I'll be posting summer themed projects since we're wrapping up the summer. I'm slightly sad that summer will be over but then again I'm looking forward to cooler weather and my favorite holidays of the year (Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Eeo_2YRL1VI/UBlfYK5tYAI/AAAAAAAADIs/_XxqL8eu4m8/s1600/P7300001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Eeo_2YRL1VI/UBlfYK5tYAI/AAAAAAAADIs/_XxqL8eu4m8/s320/P7300001.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Isn't it just so cute. The main colors of my banner were a bright blue, green and yellow. I cut the rank shape from the <a href="http://main.cricut.com/shopping/detail--Cricut-Stand-and-Salute-Cartridge-0-347.aspx" target="_blank">Stand and Salute</a> cartridge. They were all cut at 2.5". I used the Cricut Craft Room to cut out the letters from the rank cuts. The letters are from the <a href="http://main.cricut.com/shopping/detail--Cricut-Alphalicious-Cartridge-0-119.aspx" target="_blank">Alphalicious</a> cartridge. The letters were all 2.5" as well within the rank cuts. Then I cut another rank cut in the blue, green and yellow to layer behind my white cuts. I also an extra of each color as my accents for the banner. I punched 2 small holes in the top of each in order to string the ribbon through.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-02GzBaNbcr4/UBlfe0zOaMI/AAAAAAAADI0/u6skcekQvhM/s1600/P7300003.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-02GzBaNbcr4/UBlfe0zOaMI/AAAAAAAADI0/u6skcekQvhM/s320/P7300003.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I cut each of the images on my accent pieces from the <a href="http://main.cricut.com/shopping/detail--Cricut-Pack-Your-Bags-Cartridge-0-1158.aspx" target="_blank">Pack Your Bags</a> cartridge. The first image is from page 26. This image is actually a pair of flip flops connected to a pair of sunglasses. I just cut off the sunglasses part. I cut the image at 2.5" with a white shadow to help it stand out. For the cuts on the accent pieces I used other bright colors (pink, orange and purple) so they would stand out more. I added purple and orange stickles to really make the flip flops pop.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-EiGHy8SYEl4/UBlfmVGp8ZI/AAAAAAAADI8/i401d-M0Y38/s1600/P7300004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-EiGHy8SYEl4/UBlfmVGp8ZI/AAAAAAAADI8/i401d-M0Y38/s320/P7300004.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For the middle accent piece I cut the beach ball from page 31. I used the purple, pink, yellow and blue for my beach ball. It was cut at 2.5". I added purple, pink, yellow and blue stickles to the corresponding paper. I also popped up all the images on pop dots to really help them stand out.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div align="center">
<br /></div>
<div align="center">
My last accent piece has the bikini cut from page 27. It was cut at 3" with a white shadow like the flip flops. I added pink and yellow stickles to the corresponding paper. I used 3/8" white satin ribbon to string all my pieces together. </div>

<br />
Well today is my last day of this series. I hope you've enjoyed the last 11 days. Thinking about Christmastime has definitely got me in a cooler state of mind which is needed in this crazy heat. Anyway let's see what today's project is.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CDhZxdiJQ30/UATwUsxkfTI/AAAAAAAADDs/6KM_dDvXlr8/s1600/P7160012.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CDhZxdiJQ30/UATwUsxkfTI/AAAAAAAADDs/6KM_dDvXlr8/s320/P7160012.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div align="center">
<br /></div>
<div align="center">
I really loved the color combo I used in <a href="http://jessica-fortheloveofcrafting.blogspot.com/2012/07/12-days-of-christmas-in-july-day-2.html" target="_blank">Day 2</a> so I decided to use it again. I wanted to make a simple, elegant card. I think the <a href="http://main.cricut.com/shopping/detail--Cricut-Gingerbread-Seasonal-Cartridge-0-1119.aspx" target="_blank">Gingerbread Seasonal</a> cartridge is great for simple Christmas cuts. Each cut is 2 layers which makes assembly super easy.</div>
<div align="center">
<br /></div>
<div align="center">
This is standard A2 (4.25x5.5") size card using Kraft cardstock as a base. The olive green and shimmery eggplant cardstock are both from Michael's. The white layer on the sleigh and background is a shimmery white cardstock from Michael's as well. I used clear embossing powder to emboss the eggplant cardstock for a tone-on-tone look. The sleigh is cut at 2.25" and is popped up with pop dots. I rounded all the corners with my Corner Chomper using the 1/2" size.</div>

<br />
Welcome to Day 11 of my <a href="http://jessica-fortheloveofcrafting.blogspot.com/search/label/12%20Days%20of%20Christmas%20in%20July" target="_blank">12 Days of Christmas in July</a> 2012 series. My project today is a favor box from the <a href="http://main.cricut.com/shopping/detail-department-Cricut-Sweet-Treats-Cartridge-0-645.aspx" target="_blank">Sweet Treats</a> cartridge. I made one of the present favor boxes which could be easily mass produced for a party.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eeEx_lLiZ1M/UBBG_meD3II/AAAAAAAADH4/4JbRRRoAwGs/s1600/P7250001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eeEx_lLiZ1M/UBBG_meD3II/AAAAAAAADH4/4JbRRRoAwGs/s320/P7250001.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I cut my base (from page 47) in white cardstock and it is cut at 4.75" This cut fit within a 12x12" paper. In this picture I've already scored and folded the tabs.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ae4tAq_5riA/UBBHHaIpD_I/AAAAAAAADIA/4buqLIJP9LE/s1600/P7250002.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ae4tAq_5riA/UBBHHaIpD_I/AAAAAAAADIA/4buqLIJP9LE/s320/P7250002.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Next I cut two present images at 4.75" in order to put them on my box. With this you have to remember to flip one set of images to place it correctly on the other side of the box. I chose to go with a white, blues and silver wintery theme for my favor box. The light blue and silver are shimmery cardstock that I got from Michael's. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rVS0Nzh3drE/UBBHPBbrEJI/AAAAAAAADII/vfgqMyvdVJw/s1600/P7250003.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rVS0Nzh3drE/UBBHPBbrEJI/AAAAAAAADII/vfgqMyvdVJw/s320/P7250003.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After gluing my presents together I glued them to my flat box. It is much easier that way. The one thing that bothers me about at least this box is that you get a gap on one side about a 1/4" wide. You can see it better in the next picture. Anyway I used some red tape to hold my box together. I also used a couple little pieces of red tape on the bottom to hold it together. It took me a little while to figure out how to get the bottom to stay together. The box stands about 4.75" tall, 3" wide and 2.25" deep.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8BcnwFKv6sw/UBBHXSEmfXI/AAAAAAAADIQ/Dvs1QlIr_qU/s1600/P7250004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8BcnwFKv6sw/UBBHXSEmfXI/AAAAAAAADIQ/Dvs1QlIr_qU/s320/P7250004.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Well every present needs a tag and this one was no different. This tag is a stamp from Studio G. I just love the little penguin and he fit in well with my wintery theme. I simply stamped the image in black ink on white cardstock. Using my heat embosser I sped along the drying process. After it was dry I colored in my penguin with a silver metallic marker and Zig Writers in Pure Orange and Blue Jay. I also added some clear stickles on the penguin's hat. I used a small hole punch to punch out the hole at the end of the tag. It fit perfectly. I strung some Sew Easy Fancy Floss (in Slate) through it.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YS4xIZ2WXwE/UBBHf_MEPgI/AAAAAAAADIY/U-OvxHYWPYw/s1600/P7250005.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YS4xIZ2WXwE/UBBHf_MEPgI/AAAAAAAADIY/U-OvxHYWPYw/s320/P7250005.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here's a close up of the cute little tag.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div align="center">
<br /></div>
<div align="center">
I used a white twist tie to pull the sides in. From this view you can also see I popped up the tag with some pop dots.</div>

<br />
We're already to day 10...my first series is just flying by. I have a pretty cute card to show you today. I absolutely love the reds, greens and pinks as a color theme for Christmas. I actually have pink, orange, green and blue ornaments for my Christmas tree. They are just so fun and bright. Well let's get to today's card.<br />

This card is a standard A2 size card. I cut the red layer at 4x5.25". The pink layer is cut at 3.5x2.75". The green patterned paper is from the <em>Me & My Big Ideas</em> paper pad called Explorer and it is cut at 4.5x2.75". My image is from the <a href="http://main.cricut.com/shopping/detail--Cricut-Simply-Charmed-Cartridge-0-1025.aspx" target="_blank">Simply Charmed</a> cartridge on page 62. The image and its shadow are cut at 3.5". I followed the color scheme in the handbook. The silver hanger cut is a shimmery silver cardstock from Michael's and the middle pink glitter cut is a glitter cardstock that I got from Joann's.</div>

<br />
I'm back again for day 9 of my 12 Days of Christmas in July 2012 series. I have another great card to share with you. I'm going to be linking this card up to the <a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/2012/07/christmas-in-july.html" target="_blank">Christmas in July challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2</a> Blog.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2kcWeFiApXc/UA2h9DW1k3I/AAAAAAAADGw/0WT4co8dsv8/s1600/P7230011.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2kcWeFiApXc/UA2h9DW1k3I/AAAAAAAADGw/0WT4co8dsv8/s320/P7230011.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For today's card I made a Folded Angle card that I saw on <a href="http://www.cricutholiday.com/2009/12/week-19-fancy-card-friday-with-folded.html" target="_blank">Everday Cricut</a> where they have a tutorial on how to cut and fold. I used Core'dinations Cardstock from their Gemstones Collection that I got at Joann's. The base for the card is the color Jasper and I chose to have the shiny side up. This card ends up being a 4x4" card when folded. My green layer is cut at 3.5x3.5" and the cream layer is 3.25x3.25". The green is the backside of the Jade Core'dinations cardstock. The wreath is cut from <a href="http://main.cricut.com/shopping/detail--Cricut-Lite-Celebrate-with-Flourish-Cartridge-0-1015.aspx" target="_blank">Celebrate with Flourish Lite</a> cartridge. I didn't cut the layer with the flourishes because I just wanted a simple wreath. So the base of the wreath is the Jade Core'dinations cardstock and the bow and holly berries are cut from Ruby Red. The wreath is cut at 3". This was a fun card to make and I love the folded angles.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QxCmGR4X2pU/UA2iFFPh9YI/AAAAAAAADG4/f76rS_felQg/s1600/P7230012.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QxCmGR4X2pU/UA2iFFPh9YI/AAAAAAAADG4/f76rS_felQg/s320/P7230012.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In this picture you can see that only half of the green layer is attached to the top folded angle.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RZQsDbYk76s/UA2iL8Tk_UI/AAAAAAAADHA/0RX_-dMieXw/s1600/P7230013.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RZQsDbYk76s/UA2iL8Tk_UI/AAAAAAAADHA/0RX_-dMieXw/s320/P7230013.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used a Studio G "Happy Holidays" stamp with dark red ink. I also cut the green and cream colored layers for the inside the same size as the outside.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UJMVY54Q5sM/UA2iTR2P2_I/AAAAAAAADHI/LK23_L2p588/s1600/P7230014.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UJMVY54Q5sM/UA2iTR2P2_I/AAAAAAAADHI/LK23_L2p588/s320/P7230014.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>

<br />
I'm back today with a super cute side step card for Christmas. I was very excited to learn the <a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Bitten By the Bug 2</a> Challenge Blog is having a Christmas in July themed challenge this week. So I'll be linking up my projects from this week of my <a href="http://jessica-fortheloveofcrafting.blogspot.com/search/label/12%20Days%20of%20Christmas%20in%20July" target="_blank">12 Days of Christmas in July</a> 2012 series to their challenge. You can see more information about the Christmas in July challenge <a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/2012/07/christmas-in-july.html" target="_blank">here</a>. Now that I've explained that let's get to today's card.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OhOOo7_H9mg/UA2Y8jVSx4I/AAAAAAAADFU/D2RcjEwm_xQ/s1600/P7230003.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OhOOo7_H9mg/UA2Y8jVSx4I/AAAAAAAADFU/D2RcjEwm_xQ/s320/P7230003.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I found a tutorial on <a href="http://www.cricutholiday.com/2009/10/week11-fancy-card-friday-side-step-card.html" target="_blank">Everday Cricut</a> on how to make an A2 sized side step card. I decided that I wanted to try making my first ever side step card. The tutorial is very easy to follow. I chose to make my base navy to be like the night sky. After I cut and folded the card I stamped the entire thing in silver ink with a snowflake stamp. There is a picture of that further down in this post.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-baDTm3yJ914/UA2ZD-Z3qEI/AAAAAAAADFc/HCOjlJ8f2Pk/s1600/P7230005.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-baDTm3yJ914/UA2ZD-Z3qEI/AAAAAAAADFc/HCOjlJ8f2Pk/s320/P7230005.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div align="center">
For all of my images I used the <a href="http://main.cricut.com/shopping/detail--Cricut-Create-a-Critter-Cartridge-0-969.aspx" target="_blank">Create a Critter</a> cartridge and all the images came from page 73. I used the cute reindeer, a string of lights, the tree accessory and the phrase.</div>
<div align="center">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PBh1vWfEv20/UA2ZLEb8oRI/AAAAAAAADFk/9Qjix1OxkHQ/s1600/P7230006.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PBh1vWfEv20/UA2ZLEb8oRI/AAAAAAAADFk/9Qjix1OxkHQ/s320/P7230006.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Isn't this just the cutest card?? I had my base cut and folded in navy but I really wanted to add a back piece for my lights and tree to be attached to so I cut a 3.5x3.75" piece of white cardstock. To add some texture to that piece I ran it through my Cuttlebug using the D'Vine Swirls folder. The string of lights is cut at 1" and I added some silver gel pen accents to each. The tree was cut at 2.5". I didn't cut the layer since you wouldn't be able to see it. I stamped the green paper with green ink to have a tone-on-tone look. I also used the same effect on the 0.5x3" piece of green paper in front. I cut the phrase "JOY" at 2". I used the same navy cardstock for the bottom layer and silver for the top layer. The adorable reindeer is cut at 3.5". I added some red stickles on his nose and popped him up with pop dots.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<br />
So my Sunday just flew by. All this weekend has been the Christmas in July Event on QVC and needless got sucked into it. I didn't buy anything but I just enjoy seeing all the Christmas things. It makes me very excited for the holiday season. Anyways that is the reason that today's post is so late.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-A6Rhwt_sACQ/UAzBX1Eun8I/AAAAAAAADFA/3HdeYUF1aWs/s1600/P7220001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-A6Rhwt_sACQ/UAzBX1Eun8I/AAAAAAAADFA/3HdeYUF1aWs/s320/P7220001.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For today's card I made a long card that measures 4x9". I just used a white base and punched the front edge with my <a href="http://store.scrapbook.com/ek-m230385.html" target="_blank">Martha Stewart Snowflake Edge Punch.</a> The thing I love about this punch is that it not only punches but it also embosses a snowflake. For this card I wanted to use a non-traditional color theme so I used a dark red, navy and silver. The "seasons greetings" cut is from the <a href="http://main.cricut.com/shopping/detail--Cricut-Lite-Celebrate-with-Flourish-Cartridge-0-1015.aspx" target="_blank">Celebrate with Flourish Lite</a> cartridge. It is cut at 3.5". I added a 1/4x9" strip of navy cardstock above the punched snowflakes.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-b4S_nl9gi4U/UAzBgoZaqUI/AAAAAAAADFI/XD_npSPrsGM/s1600/P7220002.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-b4S_nl9gi4U/UAzBgoZaqUI/AAAAAAAADFI/XD_npSPrsGM/s320/P7220002.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div align="center">
<br /></div>
<div align="center">
To help the punched snowflakes stand out I added a 1x9" strip of silver cardstock on the bottom edge of the inside of my card. This was a very simple and elegant card. This size card will fit in a No. 10 size envelope. </div>

They are simple and small but just right. I used 3 different cartridges to make today's project. They were <a href="http://main.cricut.com/shopping/detail--Cricut-Essentialsnbsp;--Digital-0-1841.aspx" target="_blank">Cricut Essentials</a> which is one of the four cartridges installed on my Cricut Expression 2 machine, <a href="http://main.cricut.com/shopping/detail--Cricut-Lite-Cherry-Limeade-Cartridge-0-995.aspx" target="_blank">Lite Cherry Limeade</a> and <a href="http://main.cricut.com/shopping/detail--Cricut-Simply-Charmed-Cartridge-0-1025.aspx" target="_blank">Simply Charmed</a>. The base for the signs were cut at 3.25" and from pages 26 & 27. I chose to use the red polka dot paper as the frames. The 2 signs I cut for the Santas were turned on the sides in order to make the Santas fit within the frame. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SikKnhYi9oM/UAc5LcgSGDI/AAAAAAAADEk/QrJmEAWy8oE/s1600/P7180007.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SikKnhYi9oM/UAc5LcgSGDI/AAAAAAAADEk/QrJmEAWy8oE/s320/P7180007.JPG" width="240" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hbfbeObDL-M/UAc5bZQ7-eI/AAAAAAAADE0/MGxU5X-3gA4/s1600/P7180010.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hbfbeObDL-M/UAc5bZQ7-eI/AAAAAAAADE0/MGxU5X-3gA4/s320/P7180010.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I cut the Santas at 3" each with a black shadow from Simply Charmed. I added 2 red jewels on the bottom of the signs to match the larger jewel on the "Believe" sign. The Santas are popped up with pop dots to add some dimension.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I cut the letters for this sign from Lite Cherry Limeade at 1.5" and the whole word fit perfectly in the white section of this sign. I added a large red jewel on the dot for the "i".</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For each of the signs I punched 2 small holes in the corners and strung 1/8" black satin ribbon in order to hang them. I debated hanging them all on one string but I liked the individual hangers better.</div>

<br />
I'm back today with another Christmas scrapbooking layout. I had a lot of fun making the layout yesterday so I decided I wanted to make another one.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1gdnioiFeho/UAcxpounNcI/AAAAAAAADD4/hK9LxwvNtNY/s1600/P7170001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1gdnioiFeho/UAcxpounNcI/AAAAAAAADD4/hK9LxwvNtNY/s320/P7170001.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This was another simple layout. I just used a white 12x12" cardstock as my base. The 2 larger photo mats are 4.5x6.5" each and the smaller one is 4x4". I just used red cardstock to make the mats. The images I cut are both from the <a href="http://main.cricut.com/shopping/detail--Cricut-3-Birds-on-Parade-Cartridge-0-1017.aspx" target="_blank">3 Birds on Parade</a> cartridge. The are both from page 43 of the handbook. I cut the Santa Bird at 4" with the shadow in black. The phrase is cut at 3" with the black shadow. I wanted my images to really stand out so that's why I did the black shadows. After I glued everything down I decided my plain white cardstock needed something extra so I stamped some red candy canes around the page. It turned out super cute and my mom said that she thought the paper was printed like that...but she obviously wasn't looking at the middle of the page because that isn't stamped at all.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DD7QowjpLKU/UAcx4kq8FJI/AAAAAAAADEA/VZdKflrlQTE/s1600/P7170002.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DD7QowjpLKU/UAcx4kq8FJI/AAAAAAAADEA/VZdKflrlQTE/s320/P7170002.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here's my Santa Bird. I added some clear Studio G glitter glue on the beard and hat. I also added 2 little black dots on the beak for the nostrils.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6Ec0IfxZ_-M/UAcx_qVjAQI/AAAAAAAADEI/b_sVWwn0Rj0/s1600/P7170003.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6Ec0IfxZ_-M/UAcx_qVjAQI/AAAAAAAADEI/b_sVWwn0Rj0/s320/P7170003.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For the phrase I cut out the first layer in white and the accent pieces in red. On the little hat I added more clear glitter glue where the fur part of the hat would be. The pieces overlapping the photo mats are not glued down so when I put my photos on this page they'll slide right underneath.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zRpH9n0WDpA/UAcyGXsYrCI/AAAAAAAADEQ/mQnuZ-ECakI/s1600/P7170004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zRpH9n0WDpA/UAcyGXsYrCI/AAAAAAAADEQ/mQnuZ-ECakI/s320/P7170004.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div align="center">
<br /></div>
<div align="center">
I added pop dots under the phrase and image in order to give my page some dimension. This page turned out to be super simple and cute.</div>

<br />
I decided to switch it up today and make a Christmas scrapbooking layout. I wanted to make something fun and simple. I think my favorite part of Christmas is the decorating part so I thought it would be appropriate to make a "Deck the Halls" layout.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-yKLaJArBrhY/UATl0cOl2gI/AAAAAAAADDQ/MXwZMZgTy4k/s1600/P7160017.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-yKLaJArBrhY/UATl0cOl2gI/AAAAAAAADDQ/MXwZMZgTy4k/s320/P7160017.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This layout turned out to be super cute and it was super simple to make. I used the <a href="http://main.cricut.com/shopping/detail--Cricut-3-Birds-on-Parade-Cartridge-0-1017.aspx" target="_blank">3 Birds on Parade</a> cartridge for this layout. This cartridge was one of the first that I bought because it has a bunch of adorable images that represent lots of holidays/events. When I came across this cute birdie and the phrase "Deck the Halls" I knew they would make a great layout. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used dark gray 12x12" cardstock for my background. I chose to have 2 photo mats each cut at 4.5x6.5" (white layer). Then I added another layer of green cardstock each cut at 4.75x6.75". I used light green for the vertical mat and regular green for the horizontal mat. On the bottom I added a red mat with a white section for journaling. I used 1/4" wide red satin ribbon to accent my photo mats. The ribbon is attached using the cheater method so I can later slide my photos behind it to attach them to the mats.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Below I have some close-up pictures of the details. I have also included the measurements of my cuts.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bHycGmbtAe8/UATl7361OII/AAAAAAAADDY/i5rdgvoBTXw/s1600/P7160018.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bHycGmbtAe8/UATl7361OII/AAAAAAAADDY/i5rdgvoBTXw/s320/P7160018.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I loved the "Deck the Halls" phrase so I knw I needed to use it. This is cut at 3". After I had attached everything to my base I decided that it needed a little something more so I added the 3 strings of lights. I just cut the black to fit where I wanted them and cut out just the lights from p. 44. I cut them at 5.5" with the Real Dial Size Off. I cut 3 sets of the lights one in red, one in light green and the last in regular green. I think it added just what was needed to my page.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-C9_UT6vUqyU/UATmC5csmSI/AAAAAAAADDg/Vg0gBYfThNc/s1600/P7160019.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-C9_UT6vUqyU/UATmC5csmSI/AAAAAAAADDg/Vg0gBYfThNc/s320/P7160019.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div align="center">
<br /></div>
<div align="center">
I couldn't make this page without using the birdie from p. 44. He is cut at 4.25" with the white shadow. I actually glued the shadow down on the page and popped up the birdie with pop dots. I've seen this done before and really liked the look of it. To add some fun to the page I used red, light green and green Studio G glitter glue on all the Christmas lights. I used Glossy Accents on the beak and legs of my birdie. Before adding the Glossy Accents I drew 2 little black dots on the beak.</div>
<div align="center">

<br />
I'm back again with some super cute A1 sized cards. I absolutely love the <a href="http://main.cricut.com/shopping/detail-Cartridges-Cricut-Lite-Cricut-Lite-Celebrate-with-Flourish-Cartridge-257-1015.aspx" target="_blank">Lite Celebrate with Flourish</a> cartridge so it was no surprise that I would definitely be making some cute cards. There are 5 different Christmas images and today I used 3 of them to make some coordinated A1 cards.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8N3gPZEYa4g/UATfpTyTBpI/AAAAAAAADCs/pM4OBKK98Lg/s1600/P7160013.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8N3gPZEYa4g/UATfpTyTBpI/AAAAAAAADCs/pM4OBKK98Lg/s320/P7160013.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div align="center">
I am a big fan of polka dots and the red and green polka dot paper I got from Michael's just seemed to fit my idea for these cards. Plus I had solid paper that matched them. I cut the polka dot paper at 7x5" and folded them in half then added the 1x5" paper as an accent. The opposite side of the polka dot paper is white so it will work perfectly for writing a message.</div>
<div align="center">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6XlkO6VlL-c/UATfxr8cnjI/AAAAAAAADC0/BjmoKWHXx_0/s1600/P7160014.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6XlkO6VlL-c/UATfxr8cnjI/AAAAAAAADC0/BjmoKWHXx_0/s320/P7160014.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is the first card of my set. I chose the tree and cut it at 4.5". I decided to do the same colors of paper as the example on the handbook which is what I did for each of the images. For this card and the one with the ornament I used my Spring Green Zig Writer to do some faux stitching. I wanted to add some flare to all of my images so I covered all the red pieces with red Studio G glitter glue.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-H_f0CrwLjrQ/UATf6nhb0hI/AAAAAAAADC8/HKv52wtc9Mc/s1600/P7160015.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-H_f0CrwLjrQ/UATf6nhb0hI/AAAAAAAADC8/HKv52wtc9Mc/s320/P7160015.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I think the poinsettia cut is my favorite of the 3 images I cut. I cut it at 2.75" and I used the Rose Zig Writer for faux stitching on this card. I used pop dots to pop up all of my images since these cards were super simple.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1l2wp6jamv8/UATgBZ91eaI/AAAAAAAADDE/Qh6eVXV2Pw8/s1600/P7160016.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1l2wp6jamv8/UATgBZ91eaI/AAAAAAAADDE/Qh6eVXV2Pw8/s320/P7160016.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div align="center">
<br /></div>
<div align="center">
My last image was the ornament which was cut at 3.5". I rounded 2 corners on each of my cards using the 1/2" size. Below I included my sizes for making these 3 cute cards.</div>
<div align="center">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Polka Dot Cardstock: 3.5x5" (done 3 times; 2 in red, 1 in green)</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
White Layer: 4.25x3" (done 3 times)</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Polka Dot Layer: 1x5" (done 3 times; 1 in red, 2 in green)</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Christmas Tree Image: 4.5"</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Poinsettia Image: 2.75"</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Ornament: 3.5"</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Hope you enjoyed today's set of mini cards. Come back tomorrow for another project for my <a href="http://jessica-fortheloveofcrafting.blogspot.com/search/label/12%20Days%20of%20Christmas%20in%20July" target="_blank">12 Days of Christmas in July</a> 2012 series.</div>

<br />
I'm here again to bring you another Christmas card.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_8mvqE1LtmQ/UATalIK-A8I/AAAAAAAADCg/2UKN99cie3o/s1600/P7160009.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_8mvqE1LtmQ/UATalIK-A8I/AAAAAAAADCg/2UKN99cie3o/s320/P7160009.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I love the colors I chose for this card. The base of my card is Kraft cardstock. I got the olive green cardstock with glitter dots in the clearance bin at Michael's. The shimmery eggplant cardstock is also from Michael's. I love how well these colors go together and the non-traditional Christmas look. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

Earlier this year I got the <a href="http://main.cricut.com/shopping/detail-Cartridges-Cricut-Seasonal-Cricut-Trim-the-Tree-Seasonal-Cartridge-261-1120.aspx" target="_blank">Trim the Tree Seasonal</a> cartridge and I just couldn't wait to cut something. I love the detail of the cuts. After looking at the images I knew I really wanted to cut the reindeer. I absolutely adore the antlers. I cut my image at 3.5" and I would not suggest cutting it any smaller. The intricate detail makes it harder to peal off the mat.</div>

<br />
I decided to start some series of posts in order to keep me from slacking on my blog. I really want to post more often and thought this would help me get into posting more regularly. Christmas is one of my favorite times of year so I thought the <a href="http://jessica-fortheloveofcrafting.blogspot.com/search/label/12%20Days%20of%20Christmas%20in%20July" target="_blank">12 Days of Christmas in July</a> would be a great first series for me to do. Starting today I'll post a Christmas themed card or layout. <br />
<br />
For today I made a couple mini 3x3" cards. I used Studio G stamps that I got on sale. They turned out to be way cuter than I thought they would be. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pj6bNnYjato/UAS5RT0G5fI/AAAAAAAADBs/ccNSujVVhDY/s1600/P7160001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pj6bNnYjato/UAS5RT0G5fI/AAAAAAAADBs/ccNSujVVhDY/s320/P7160001.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Aren't they adorable?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HvF9GKaCjpw/UAS5bcoyQSI/AAAAAAAADB0/74bL1YvDLsM/s1600/P7160003.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HvF9GKaCjpw/UAS5bcoyQSI/AAAAAAAADB0/74bL1YvDLsM/s320/P7160003.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I decided to show you the mini stamp sets I used from Studio G. I found these sets in the Dollar bins at Michael's and Joann's. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XdVUgSi8jZE/UAS5itF-uTI/AAAAAAAADB8/XZDh2iACeJU/s1600/P7160005.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XdVUgSi8jZE/UAS5itF-uTI/AAAAAAAADB8/XZDh2iACeJU/s320/P7160005.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Here's a close-up of the little elves and here's how I made this mini card:<br />
<br />
Red Base: 3x6" (folded in half to make a 3x3" card)<br />
Green Polka Dot Layer: 2.75x2.75"<br />
White Layer: 2.5x2.5"<br />
Green Polka Dot Strip: 2.5x0.5"<br />
<br />
I rounded the corners with my Corner Chomper (1/4"). I colored in the elves using Zig Writers (Rose, Spring Green, & Pure Pink), a brown Pilot G-2 pen and I used a gold gel pen for the little buttons on their jumpers. I also added some clear Studio G glitter glue on the pom poms of their hats.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HqUlFdJZ-DQ/UAS5qcPd2XI/AAAAAAAADCE/8OSxZIauvUA/s1600/P7160006.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HqUlFdJZ-DQ/UAS5qcPd2XI/AAAAAAAADCE/8OSxZIauvUA/s320/P7160006.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Here's a close-up of the little penguin and here's how I made this mini card:<br />
<br />
Silver Base: 3x6" (folded in half to make a 3x3" card)<br />
Light Blue Layer: 2.75x2.75"<br />
Red Layer: 2.75x0.75"<br />
<br />
I also rounded the corners on this card as well. I colored the penguin with a black Pilot G-2 pen and Zig Writers (Rose & Pure Orange). I added some sparkle to the penguin's santa hat using the clear Studio G glitter glue. I used the snowflake stamps in this set to do emboss the blue layer. I just used white embossing powder to make my white snowflakes. I used clear embossing over black ink for my sentiment on the red paper. I also popped up my penguin with pop dots.<br />
<br />
I hope you enjoyed Day 1 of my <a href="http://jessica-fortheloveofcrafting.blogspot.com/search/label/12%20Days%20of%20Christmas%20in%20July" target="_blank">12 Days of Christmas in July</a> 2012 series. Come back tomorrow for another great Christmas card.<br />
<br />
Have a magical day!!<br />

Since Father's Day is in a week I thought I would share the cards I made for my Dad and Grandpas.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-i-BOM1Eg1zY/T9KLPNCnaAI/AAAAAAAADBI/IRXwjDxAoIU/s1600/P6060001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-i-BOM1Eg1zY/T9KLPNCnaAI/AAAAAAAADBI/IRXwjDxAoIU/s320/P6060001.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Here's a picture of all the Father's day cards I made. I used the three images for Father's Day on the Cricut Lite cartridge Celebrate With Flourish. I used the same colors for all, Kraft, light tan, chocolate, navy blue, and lighter blue. I also stamped "happy FATHER'S day" on each card.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-oDIvDtltHfU/T9KLWuX22wI/AAAAAAAADBQ/nhWlODWx2WE/s1600/P6060002.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-oDIvDtltHfU/T9KLWuX22wI/AAAAAAAADBQ/nhWlODWx2WE/s320/P6060002.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
This card is for my Dad. The image is cut at 4.75". I liked the simplicity of each card and it is definitely appropriate for men. This card has the sentiment stamped on the inside.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CY_Qm1qIcOM/T9KLc8iTw2I/AAAAAAAADBY/T4y1n_f7jPc/s1600/P6060004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CY_Qm1qIcOM/T9KLc8iTw2I/AAAAAAAADBY/T4y1n_f7jPc/s320/P6060004.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
I made 2 of these cards (one for one of my grandpas and my step-grandpa). The golf bag image is cut at 4". I embossed the stamped image to make it stand out more.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sDaLTMxszzk/T9KLj62PKFI/AAAAAAAADBg/_9q6swuTU8o/s1600/P6060005.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sDaLTMxszzk/T9KLj62PKFI/AAAAAAAADBg/_9q6swuTU8o/s320/P6060005.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
The last card I made for my other grandpa. The fishing image is cut at 4". <br />
Thanks for looking.<br />
Have a Magical Day :)<br />

My little sister's birthday is today and I wanted to show you the card I made for her. She's not as in love with the animal print as I am but I came up with this idea and just couldn't pass it up. Plus I made it using her favorite color purple so I'm sure she'll love it.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TJYF3Kehfys/T9KE00x9wxI/AAAAAAAADAs/J1ecgASnIsc/s1600/P6080014.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TJYF3Kehfys/T9KE00x9wxI/AAAAAAAADAs/J1ecgASnIsc/s320/P6080014.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
I cut the zebra from Create a Critter at 3". The "Go Wild" phrase is also from Create a Critter and was cut at 1.5" The card I made is a standard A2 size card. I used a black base and the animal print paper is from Michael's. The pack that you can buy comes with pink zebra print, blue zebra print, traditional white and black zebra print, green leopard print and purple leopard print. The nice thing about this paper is that it is a solid color on the back and it matches. No need to find a matching purple. <br />
The first layer of the card is cut at 4 x 5.25". The next layer was cut at 3.75 x 5" and I used my Cuttlebug to emboss it with the leopard print folder from the Animal Print embossing folders pack. The black paper is cut at 1.75 x 3.75". I used the black to help my "Go Wild" phrase stand out better. It turned out to be a very cute card.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mERtug1N9SA/T9KE7rPPsOI/AAAAAAAADA0/KplKtoJ7EPA/s1600/P6080015.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mERtug1N9SA/T9KE7rPPsOI/AAAAAAAADA0/KplKtoJ7EPA/s320/P6080015.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
On the inside I used the back of the animal print paper as a mat for my writing. I also added a detail of the animal print paper at the bottom (1.75 x 3.75"). I stamped "It's Your Birthday!" using some individual letter stamps. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4OfHf0VGD90/T9KFCF_r3XI/AAAAAAAADA8/daOfMGlttyU/s1600/P6080016.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4OfHf0VGD90/T9KFCF_r3XI/AAAAAAAADA8/daOfMGlttyU/s320/P6080016.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
I was all about the animal print with this card. I even made an animal print liner for the envelope.<br />
I hope you enjoyed this card.<br />
Have a Magical Day :)<br />
JessicaJessicahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15384065994043537603noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9164308024661528591.post-88663206241636154482012-06-08T17:59:00.000-05:002012-06-08T17:59:55.571-05:00Hello ThereHello There,<br />
I recently received the Create a Critter cartridge so I had to make some super cute cards to send to my friends. The cuts on this cartridge are just too cute. I've seen lots of projects using this cartridge so I was very excited to get to use it. I am definitely in love with this cartridge. <br />
Anyway let's get to the first 2 cards I created with this cartridge.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TD12OO6zZMU/T9KA1sI9lKI/AAAAAAAADAY/HqrVTxW5Y1A/s1600/P6060007.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TD12OO6zZMU/T9KA1sI9lKI/AAAAAAAADAY/HqrVTxW5Y1A/s320/P6060007.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
The first card I made for my dear friend uses the owl cut (not sure what size because I lost my paper that had it written down). I used a light and dark teal polka dot paper from Michael's to make the owl. I added glossy accents to the beak and claws. I also added some brown glitter glue to the wings and eyelashes. The card is a standard A2 size with a layer of Kraft cardstock layer. I stamped "Hello There" on the inside.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-gDJqC0g1QYY/T9KA_MYYbzI/AAAAAAAADAg/_IbEwVAjcuM/s1600/P6060006.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-gDJqC0g1QYY/T9KA_MYYbzI/AAAAAAAADAg/_IbEwVAjcuM/s320/P6060006.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
The second card I made for another dear friend with the giraffe cut (again not sure of the size). The yellow paper for the giraffe is the same line of polka dot paper from Michael's. This card is also an A2 size card. The grass paper is from my stash that I've had for years. It looks like crinkled paper then I cut it to look like grass. I used D'Vine Swirls Cuttlebug folder on the blue background and the Polka Dots Cuttlebug folder on the clouds. The clouds are also cuts from Create a Critter cartridge. I cut the Hello tag and stamped it.<br />
<br />
Hope you enjoyed the cards.<br />
Have a Magical Day :)<br />

I know that I have neglected my blog for a bit. Although I'm not really sure as to why because it is not like my life has all of a sudden gotten crazier I just haven't been feeling the blogging thing. I have however continued to create things using my Cricut. I don't think there has been a week where I haven't crafted something. I posted a few of the pictures below of things I have made since my last post 2 months ago. Within the last 2 months I did however mass produce about 100 Sweet Sixteen party invitations for a friend. They turned out pretty sweet if I do say so myself. I also made a super cute bridal shower card for my mom to take to her coworker's bridal shower today. Sadly I forgot to get a picture of it. I absolutely love the way it turned out. I was the first card I made using the Simply Charmed cartridge. I guess that just means I have to make another (which I have <u>NO</u> problem doing since I love crafting). Well anyways here's to some of the projects I've made in the past 2 months.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jVeY723iLzg/T7g8q_c9IgI/AAAAAAAAC_k/9pCYD7qr_nU/s1600/P4090001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jVeY723iLzg/T7g8q_c9IgI/AAAAAAAAC_k/9pCYD7qr_nU/s320/P4090001.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
"Friendship is like good coffee - Rich, Warm, & Strong" -- I made this for one of my besties still in college in Hawaii. The cup of joe is from the Love You a Latte Lite cartridge.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-20oCfxlONfI/T7g8x7AgaHI/AAAAAAAAC_s/9YlwKlRC1kk/s1600/P4090002.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-20oCfxlONfI/T7g8x7AgaHI/AAAAAAAAC_s/9YlwKlRC1kk/s320/P4090002.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
"Friends make life Bear-able" -- I made this for my other college bestie still in Hawaii. The bear is cut from the Slumber Party Lite cartridge.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BigvpZy-yi8/T7g85HDCAfI/AAAAAAAAC_0/4Ir8z53vEyY/s1600/P4100003.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BigvpZy-yi8/T7g85HDCAfI/AAAAAAAAC_0/4Ir8z53vEyY/s320/P4100003.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
"Just Keep Swimming" -- I made 2 of these cards, one for each of my besties in college for their finals week. I sent them these cards along with a box of goodies to help them get through finals week. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VVrDAZ_WPIs/T7g9A4eD4wI/AAAAAAAAC_8/67KPLOLMYc4/s1600/P4100004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VVrDAZ_WPIs/T7g9A4eD4wI/AAAAAAAAC_8/67KPLOLMYc4/s320/P4100004.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
At the end of finals week my friends received these cards to help celebrate the end of the school year and kick off the summer. One says "Wishing you a Sunshiney Day" and the other says "Sending Sunny Summer Smiles." I thought these were perfect for them since the are in Hawaii and it's almost always sunny.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-N1r4mrrFkr4/T7g9IuGTm3I/AAAAAAAADAE/KeVTKDXyl7c/s1600/P4160005.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-N1r4mrrFkr4/T7g9IuGTm3I/AAAAAAAADAE/KeVTKDXyl7c/s320/P4160005.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
This spring marked the 25th year my mom has been a groomer at her work. I used vinyl to cover a yard sale sign. I had black, white, red, and silver vinyl that I got from Hobby Lobby. I used a few cartridges including: Paper Pups, Disney's Happily Ever After, and Varsity Letter Lite. My mom absolutely loved it. She now has it hanging up in her groom room.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R_QKqx3u4vk/T7g9QucYsnI/AAAAAAAADAM/jpQXUV9NjPQ/s1600/P5100039.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R_QKqx3u4vk/T7g9QucYsnI/AAAAAAAADAM/jpQXUV9NjPQ/s320/P5100039.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
This is the Mother's Day card I made for my Mom, Stepmom, and all 3 Grandmas. It was quite a project. I used Cricut Craft Room to weld all the flowers together in order to cut out one piece. All of the images are cut from the Walk in My Garden cartridge. I stamped the sentiment from the Fiskars "Holiday Hooplah" stamp set. I really love how it turned out. <br />
Well I think that's all for now and I'm going to try to keep up with my blogging.<br />
Have a Magical Day!!<br />

<br />
My mom's birthday is this month and I just got the Sweet Treats cartridge that has the cute number candles. I knew that I wanted to make a shape card using those number candle cuts. This week's challenge at <a href="http://celebratetheoccasion.blogspot.com/2012/03/challenge-53.html">Celebrate the Occasion</a> fit that perfectly. Their #53 challenge is a Birthday Shape Card.<br />

The numbers are cut at 5" and welded together using the Cricut Craft Room. I cut all the layers and pieced them together. I added some Studio G glitter glue for a little something extra.<br />

I needed to make my St. Patrick's Day cards to send out and the theme fit a few challenges perfectly. These are the challenges I entered my cards in.<br />
<br />
1) <a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/2012/03/shamrock.html">Bitten by the Bug 2</a>: Shamrock and Green Challenge - make a project using a shamrock and the color green.<br />
2) <a href="http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/2012/03/challenge-me-monday-101.html">Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog</a>: #101 Luck of the Irish - make a project using a shamrock or the color green.<br />
3) <a href="http://www.kraftygirls.com/2012/02/feelin-lucky-challenge-2.html">Krafty Girls</a>: #2 Feelin' Lucky - St. Patrick's theme project.<br />
4) <a href="http://www.whimsical-designs.com/2012/03/going-green-whimsical-wednesday.html">Whimsical Wednesday Challenge</a>: #45 Going Green - Incorporate the color green in your project.<br />
<br />
Now that that is out of the way onto my project.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iCXDMJFB47I/T1zB-gnX-YI/AAAAAAAAC8A/c4yYM3AZapI/s1600/P3090005.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240px" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iCXDMJFB47I/T1zB-gnX-YI/AAAAAAAAC8A/c4yYM3AZapI/s320/P3090005.JPG" width="320px" yda="true" /></a></div> First up I cut all my pieces on my Cricut. I used the Pilgrim hat from Designer's Calendar since I don't have a cartridge that has a leprechaun on it. The hat is cut at 3". I also used Designer's Calendar to cut the shamrocks at 1". I used the Cricut Craft Room Basics to cut the fancy edge labels and its shadow at 3.5". The green patterned paper was from <em>Me & My Big Ideas </em>"Explorer" Paper Pack. Since I didn't have enough of all one pattern to make all the cards so I cut 8 in one and 8 in the other. The green patterned paperis the shadow but after cutting them all out I wish I would made the white paper the shadow. Oh well...next time. I chose to make these cards A2 size with a Kraft cardstock base.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OkotM4mM9o8/T1zCC8ooDqI/AAAAAAAAC8I/Zc5w1_QAuBA/s1600/P3090009.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240px" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OkotM4mM9o8/T1zCC8ooDqI/AAAAAAAAC8I/Zc5w1_QAuBA/s320/P3090009.JPG" width="320px" yda="true" /></a></div> On the inside of the cards I used a Studio G stamp and a dark green Studio G ink square. I just love the little swirl in the message.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0vyK9RxrAFk/T1zCG7jzqkI/AAAAAAAAC8Q/vUciwqUiGY8/s1600/P3090010.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240px" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0vyK9RxrAFk/T1zCG7jzqkI/AAAAAAAAC8Q/vUciwqUiGY8/s320/P3090010.JPG" width="320px" yda="true" /></a></div> Here are my completed cards. I glued the golden yellow paper to the back of the hats and used Studio G gold glitter glue to go over it. While that was drying I used a polka dot background stamp to stamp a darker green ink onto the little shamrocks. I am a big fan of polka dots so I love to use them. I also used my Cuttlebug to emboss the white cutouts with polka dots. Once everything was dry I glued everything together. I used a pop dot to pop up the shamrock.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CbfXrCdmDdo/T1zCKtENeaI/AAAAAAAAC8Y/uyxmpsFUqd0/s1600/P3090011.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240px" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CbfXrCdmDdo/T1zCKtENeaI/AAAAAAAAC8Y/uyxmpsFUqd0/s320/P3090011.JPG" width="320px" yda="true" /></a></div> I also added some faux stitching on the hat. In these pictures you can see the sparkle from the glitter glue. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-L8tQOG3JL60/T1zCRbe8-0I/AAAAAAAAC8g/qq7o_-eXh8Y/s1600/P3090012.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240px" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-L8tQOG3JL60/T1zCRbe8-0I/AAAAAAAAC8g/qq7o_-eXh8Y/s320/P3090012.JPG" width="320px" yda="true" /></a></div>Overall I enjoyed how they turned out. Hope you enjoyed these.<br />

This post is about the birthday card I made for 3 different challenges:<br />
<br />
1) <a href="http://celebratetheoccasion.blogspot.com/2012/02/challenge-52.html">Celebrate the Occasion</a>: #52 Birthday Bling Challenge -- In order to help build up your birthday card stash the challenge this week was to create a birthday card and you must use bling.<br />
2) <a href="http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/2012/02/challenge-me-monday-100.html">Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog</a>: #100 Color Challenge -- This challenge is all about color specifically the colors that make up the FCCB blog (purple, turquoise, and green).<br />
3) <a href="http://www.cardztv.blogspot.com/2012/02/cricut-cardz-challenge-103.html">Cardz TV</a>: #103 You Take The Cake Challenge -- This challenge is for a birthday card with a cake or cupcake.<br />
<br />
Okay now that that is out of the way on to my card. I used a cartridge I just received, Sweet Treats. I chose the cake on page 40 as my main image. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vI3tSjcZ_Xo/T07hbDZV5rI/AAAAAAAAC7w/PsFhj9K32u4/s1600/P2290001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240px" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vI3tSjcZ_Xo/T07hbDZV5rI/AAAAAAAAC7w/PsFhj9K32u4/s320/P2290001.JPG" uda="true" width="320px" /></a></div><br />
Since I cut a bigger cake I decided to use a square card base (5.5 x 5.5"). I orginally hadn't cut a shadow but decided it needed something to help make the cake stand out. The cake was cut at 5" and the shadow at 4.8". I didn't want the shadow to be as large as it would have been if I would have cut it at 5". I embossed the blue layer with the D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug folder. The jewels I used are actually light purple so they matched the purple cardstock. I used Studio G glitter glue in yellow to decorate the flame and Glossy Accents over the <em>Happy Birthday</em> cut. I also added the green brads that I got from Hobby Lobby.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wxxbWdMsGzQ/T07hhjWdftI/AAAAAAAAC74/oGWNZZtULhc/s1600/P2290002.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240px" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wxxbWdMsGzQ/T07hhjWdftI/AAAAAAAAC74/oGWNZZtULhc/s320/P2290002.JPG" uda="true" width="320px" /></a></div><br />
Here's a close up of the words and the jewels. This is a bright, fun card. I really loved how it turned out.<br />
<br />
<u>Recipe:</u><br />
White Cardstock Base: 5.5 x 5.5"<br />
Green Cardstock Layer: 5.25 x 5.25"<br />
Blue Cardstock Layer: 5.25 x 2.5" (embossed with D'vine Swirls)<br />

This scrapbook layout was made for the <a href="http://morethanfavors.blogspot.com/2012/02/wacky-wednesday-66-vacation.html">Wacky Wednesday Challenge</a> at More Than Favors. This week's challenge theme is vacations. I decided to make a layout for my mom's trip to Hawaii. The base layer of my layout was from the Island Heritage paper pack. The aloha was already printed on the paper. I also used patterned paper from The Paper Studio "A Day at the Beach" paper pack.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tVTQ4wLDDog/T06ieM5ZoDI/AAAAAAAAC7Y/TjzOvipcpz8/s1600/P2290016.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240px" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tVTQ4wLDDog/T06ieM5ZoDI/AAAAAAAAC7Y/TjzOvipcpz8/s320/P2290016.JPG" uda="true" width="320px" /></a></div>I used the Luau Seasonal cartridge to cut the sun and palm trees. I wanted the page to be simple because I didn't want it to take away from the pictures I have to get printed. I added some Studio G glitter glue to the sun and palm trees. I just loved the way the page turned out.<br />
<br />
<u>Recipe:</u><br />
Photo Mats:<br />
--4.75 x 6.75" & 4.5 x 6.5"<br />
--4.75 x 5.25" & 4.5 x 5"<br />
Sun: 4"<br />
Palm Trees: 6"<br />

These cards are for Bitten by the Bug 2's <a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/2012/02/any-cartridge-monogram-challenge.html">Any Cartridge Mongram Challenge</a>. For this challenge you are allowed to use any cartridge to make a monogram card. I decided to use some fun animal print paper that I got from Michael's. I also used black satin ribbon and jewels from my stash. Enjoy the pictures :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WIf-hzeJdjY/T06d9Mq7TLI/AAAAAAAAC6w/vGlLk0n2_-E/s1600/P2290011.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320px" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WIf-hzeJdjY/T06d9Mq7TLI/AAAAAAAAC6w/vGlLk0n2_-E/s320/P2290011.JPG" uda="true" width="240px" /></a></div> To make my monogram I used Font 3 on the Cricut American Alphabet cartridge. I loved the little flourishes that were added to these letters. I really enjoy the colors since they are so bright and fun. The solid color paper is the back of the animal print paper so there was no need to worry about finding colors that matched. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7m64KrmBoDA/T06eEgPz2gI/AAAAAAAAC64/aav8eFM6fdA/s1600/P2290012.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320px" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7m64KrmBoDA/T06eEgPz2gI/AAAAAAAAC64/aav8eFM6fdA/s320/P2290012.JPG" uda="true" width="240px" /></a></div> On these individual pictures you can see the embossing I did with my Cuttlebug. I used 2 folders from the Animal Prints Set. I used the Cheetah and Zebra print folders.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vm_VjhxpU8g/T06eLtmQ68I/AAAAAAAAC7A/J-HDz4nVue8/s1600/P2290013.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320px" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vm_VjhxpU8g/T06eLtmQ68I/AAAAAAAAC7A/J-HDz4nVue8/s320/P2290013.JPG" uda="true" width="240px" /></a></div><br />

I know this is crazy because its my <strong>third</strong> post today but I made all 4 projects yesterday and put the pictures on my computer so all I had to do was write the posts today. This card was made for the A Stitch in Time challenge at <a href="http://www.cardztv.blogspot.com/2012/02/cricut-cardz-challenge-102.html">Cardz TV</a>. The challenge is to create a card for any occasion using real or faux stitching.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-aYzi72e1pWo/T0JbIU7NqYI/AAAAAAAAC6o/WcEpDfrHUAE/s1600/P2190007.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240px" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-aYzi72e1pWo/T0JbIU7NqYI/AAAAAAAAC6o/WcEpDfrHUAE/s320/P2190007.JPG" width="320px" yda="true" /></a></div>I wanted to do something extra fun so I made a <em>relaxing</em> card with the face mask from the Cricut Lite cartridge Slumber Party. I definitely need to do some relaxing this week since I take my nursing boards on Thursday. I chose the blue and green colors because I love this color combination. I used my white gel pen to add some faux stitching around the black base and mask. I had to add some light blue glitter glue to the polka dots. I also embossing the background with my Cuttlebug.<br />
<br />
<u>Recipe:</u><br />
Card Base: 5 x 5"<br />
Layer: 4 1/2 x 4 1/2" (Polka Dots Cuttlebug folder)<br />
Mask: 4"<br />
1/4" We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper<br />
Studio G Glitter Glue<br />
Ribbon from stash<br />
White Gelly Roll Pen for faux stitching<br />

This layout is for the Colors of Love challenge at <a href="http://www.whimsical-designs.com/2012/02/colors-of-love-whimsical-wednesday.html">Whimiscal Wednesday</a>. The challenge is to create a card or project using red, white and one other color. I decided to use black as my other color. As I've mentioned before I love Disney so the first thing that came to mind for the colors red and white was Minnie Mouse. I've been making a lot of cards lately so I wanted to switch it up so for this challenge I decided to make a scrapbook layout.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-U69DB_qynT4/T0JSBC26IoI/AAAAAAAAC6I/bUi554zgKDo/s1600/P2190003.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240px" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-U69DB_qynT4/T0JSBC26IoI/AAAAAAAAC6I/bUi554zgKDo/s320/P2190003.JPG" width="320px" yda="true" /></a></div> Here's the layout I created. I love these colors together. I added some bling from my stash on some of the picture mats. Can you spot the hidden Mickey??<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yfptR-oi5eE/T0JSIBUfgwI/AAAAAAAAC6Q/JEPu2KTR388/s1600/P2190004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240px" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yfptR-oi5eE/T0JSIBUfgwI/AAAAAAAAC6Q/JEPu2KTR388/s320/P2190004.JPG" width="320px" yda="true" /></a></div> This is the close-up of Minnie. I love the polka dot paper that I used for her dress and bow. It's just so cute and fun.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NUTXtXaKdPc/T0JSO-kvJwI/AAAAAAAAC6Y/zMzGkt9ikZs/s1600/P2190005.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240px" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NUTXtXaKdPc/T0JSO-kvJwI/AAAAAAAAC6Y/zMzGkt9ikZs/s320/P2190005.JPG" width="320px" yda="true" /></a></div> Here's the close up of the page title. This title along Minnie is from the Mickey and Friends cartridge.<br />

I created it with bling from my stash. I thought the black and white polka dot paper was a great addition to the page.<br />
